The invention relates to a device relating to a fire escape ladder consisting of two side strings (1, 2) and rungs. One of the side strings is mounted to a wall by means of a plurality of attachment brackets (4). The ladder can be unfolded from the wall from a folded position. The inner string is U-shaped and on its legs, a longitudinal, flange-like protrusion (12) is provided, said protrusion forming a hold for said attachment brackets, said brackets for this purpose being provided with protruding gripping flanges (43) which can grip said protrusions of the inner string. The characteristic feature of the invention is that each of said gripping flanges (43) is provided with a groove (44) having a depth and a width which is sufficient for accommodating the protrusion (12) of the inner string, and also, between the outside (15) of the protrusion and the bottom of the groove, to accommodate a bolt head (72), a nut (73), a bolt end (74), a rivet head or corresponding means of those attachment members by means of which the rungs are attached to the inner string. |
