When a pipe or cable or a protection tube for a cable is to be passed through a fire protection masonry wall, the wall opening is made much larger than the diameter of the cable. At least one side of the opening receives an annular plate of mineral wool and the remainder is filled up with a two-component silicone foam. ADVANTAGE - This creates a partition which is both fireproof, gastight and elastic. It is equally suitable for sealed passages through floors or ceilings.
