PURPOSE:To obtain a medical hard resin composition and a medical utensil excellent in the preservability of red corpuscles, by compounding a specific triglyceride compound in a hard resin composition. CONSTITUTION:A medical hard resin composition is prepared by compounding 0.5-5wt.% of a triglyceride compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are respectively 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon and the sum of the number of the carbon atoms of R<1>, R<2> and R<3> is 10-36) in a hard resin composition. When the hard resin composition is brought into contact with blood, the hemolysis of red corpuscles is prevented by the action of the triglyceride compound represented by the general formula (I) eluted from the resin composition and the excellent protective action thereof to the red corpuscle is shown. A molded article obtained by molding said composition has excellent processability, transparency and heat resistance and, when it is used as a medical utensil, said effects can be developed satisfactorily. |
