PURPOSE:To form a conical lip seal inexpensively and easily by inserting, into the central hole of a smooth doughnut-like seal plate, a widening jig with a diameter larger than that of the central hole, and forcibly plastic-deforming it in a skirt form. CONSTITUTION:A widening jig composed of a round bar conically shaped at its end is forcibly inserted into the central hole of a smooth doughnut-like seal plate made of tetrafluoride resin from the lower part thereof. The seal plate is thus deformed in a conical shape having a skirt-like form at its bottom. The jig is then removed, the diameter of the hole is decreased by the elastic deformation of resin, and thereby a lip seal 1 is formed. The manufacture is therefore performed simply and inexpensively. |
