The invention relates to a robot and to a manufacturing method making it possible to manufacture food rolls containing a stuffing offering the advantages of speed of manufacture and food hygiene. It consists of a frame 1 subdivided into four stages A, B, C, D on which the pieces of the robot are assembled. The stage A comprises a manipulator arm 8, a flat-cake loader 12, a steam sprayer 19 and an edible-stuffing shaper 23. On the stage B rest four round plates 28, and an articulated clamp 15 is fastened to the lower face of the stage B. On the stage C rest four rollers 31. The stage D is an inclined and smooth plane which houses electric motors 34 and a microprocessor 35. The robot according to the invention is intended for restaurants, caterers and private individuals, for manufacturing food rolls with entirely closed ends. It may be installed easily by means of ordinary electric energy. <IMAGE>
