This invention relates to a tape loading device of a video tape recorder. The loading device comprises a cam gear meshed with a gear lever. A slider moved right and left, by the gear lever, forms two spur gears which mesh with an arm for moving a guide roller and gears for moving another guide roller. The gear lever meshes with a gear for rotating a lever pole base on which a roller and a post are mounted. A gear being rotated at a inclind shaft is engaged with a ring gear which equips spaced loading rollers on the top surface. Then the ring gear is being rotated counter-clockwise and the tape is loaded into the head drum.
