PURPOSE:To manufacture an elastic roller without flash on its outer peripheral surface, by injecting a thermoplastic resin material into a seamless pipe to mold a elastic roller and drawing the roller from the pipe. CONSTITUTION:After a seamless pipe 4 and a core metal 3 are inserted into the cavity of a mold 1 and 2, the mold is closed and the thermoplastic elastomer resin material 5 is injected therein by means of a injection molding machine. After cooled as it is, the mold 1 and 2 is opened, a molded item is taken out together with the pipe 4 and its runner part 6 is cut with a cutter. Further, by cooling from this state a gap is made between the metallic pipe 4 and a molded roller 5 due to the difference in cooling shrinkage factor between them. Therefore, by utilizing it they are cooled at an ambient temperature and the roller is drawn from the pipe 4. In this way, an elastic roller without flash on its outer peripheral surface can be continuously manufactured. |
