PURPOSE:To improve and stabilize measurement precision by supporting the casing of a rotation variance detector on a supporting body pivotally supporting an image carrier with an elastic supporting member between them. CONSTITUTION:A front flange 12 and a rear flange 13 are provided on both ends of an image carrier drum 3 as one body, and deep groove ball bearings 14 and 15 are press-fitted to projecting fitting parts, and bearings 14 and 15 are supported by housings 16 and 17. A shaft 20 is press-fitted to the center of the end face of the front flange 12, and the rotor of an encoder 5 is fixed to the shaft 20 by a pin, and a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped elastic supporting member 21 consisting of foamed soft urethane is connected and arranged between surfaces facing each other of the casing 9 of the encoder 5 and the housing 16 by a double-coated adhesive tape 22. Thus, this member 21 is used as the whirl-stop of the casing to the rotor and the vibration of the supporting body is prevented from being transmitted as the vibration around the pivotal supporting shaft of the casing to improve and stabilize the detection precision. |
