<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the invasion of rainfall water into the opening of a car body by providing a stemming lip in the hood direction at the car body opening side of a base which is elastically in contact with and fixed to the edge of car body opening and lips at the window glass side of the base in the hood direction and the downward direction. CONSTITUTION:The base SB of sealing rubber S is elastically in contact with and fixed to the front edge of a cowl top 1 by a clip C and its front window glass side (a) is fixed by a bonding agent 4. In addition, in the base SB, a sealing lip SA and a stemming lip SD are extended foward the rear surface of a hood F and the lower side lip SC is extended downward. Furthermore, the tip of the sealing lip SA is made to touch the rear of the hood F when the hood F is closed. As a result, rainfall water is prevented from invading into an engine room E by the elastic contact section between the base SB and the cowl top 1. Besides, the rainfall water passing through the lip SA is stemmed by the lip SD and is drained to the car body side through a flow path 6.</p> |
