PURPOSE:To print with high density and favorable sharpness, by specifying the melt viscosity of a wax, the content of the wax in binder materials and the melt viscosity of a resin. CONSTITUTION:Binder materials are classified generally into at least one resin selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic resin, an alicyclic resin and an aromatic resin, having a melting point of 50-120 deg.C and a melt viscosity at 150 deg.C of 10<2>-10<4> cP, and a wax having a melting point of 50-80 deg.C and a melt viscosity st 120 deg.C of 5-200 cP. If the melt viscosity of the resin is less than 10<2> cP, bleeding occurs in printed images. If the melt viscosity of the resin is more than 10<4> cP, the melt viscosity of an ink is so high that the ink can not easily flow along the surface ruggedness of a recording paper. If the melt viscosity of the wax at 120 deg.C is less than 5 cP, the ink will be excessively soft, whereas if the melt viscosity is more than 200 cP, voids will be easily generated in printed images, and printed density will be low. The content of the wax in the binder materials is preferably at least 50wt.%. If the content is less than 50wt.%, there is a tendency toward a lower printed density. |
