A crockery basket and spray unit assembly for a dishwashing machine comprises a crockery basket (2) in which a vertical sleeve (12) is fixedly fastened to the base of the basket and a venturi device is rotatably arranged in the sleeve. The venturi device consists of a unitary plastics material pipe (5) with a funnel-shaped inlet portion (6) which passes without interruption at the throat (7) of the venturi into an outlet portion (8), at the outlet end of which a spray arm (4) is sealingly fastened by way of a screw thread (9). The pipe (5) is rotatably mounted against an annular offset (14) of the sleeve (12) by way of a bearing ring (15) moulded on the inlet portion of the pipe. <IMAGE>
