A universal coupling comprising: a first and a second transmission rings (3), (4) including two pairs of semi-circular type transmission rings (5), (5-1) and (6), (6-1) slidably inserted to the end portions of two shafts (1), (2); gear portions (7), (8) formed respectively to each end of the two pairs of the semi-circular type rings (5), (5-1) and (6), (6-1); a rotary annulus (9) having a plurality of link members (10) disposed between the two shafts (1), (2); a plurality of rotary pins (11), (12) rotatably inserted on the link members (10) for connection of the each end portion of the semi-circular type rings (5), (5-1) and (6), (6-1); and angular range (e.g. 0 DEG -90 DEG ) to be able to transmit motion while the two shafts (1), (2) are freely intersected to each other. |
