Appliance for the distribution of superheated steam of constant and controllable quality in fabric treatment, especially in autoclaves, during continuous operation. This appliance consists essentially of a leakproof container which receives at the inlet, by means of a valve, the steam coming from a boiler and which contains electrical heating resistors, the functioning of which is controlled by a thermostat regulating the steam temperature. The value set in the thermostat will depend on the calibration pressure of this valve and, at all events, will always be above the steam-saturation temperature at this specific pressure, so that "dry steam" is assured in all cases. <IMAGE>
