<p>PURPOSE: To improve the repulsion characteristic of the head itself and to increase the carry of a golf ball by fitting and integrating a flexible member as an auxiliary sole plate body into the aperture of a sole plate body having the aperture formed in a region where high-elasticity deformation energy arises at the time of hitting the ball. CONSTITUTION: The sole plate body 2a is formed by forming the aperture 5 of an arbitrary shape in the pat B which acts an the high-elasticity deformation energy region at the time of hitting the ball from approximately the central part in the transverse direction of the head of the sole plate 2 mounted at the golf club head 1 to the face surface part 4. The flexible member 6 is fitted and integrated as the auxiliary sole plate body 2b in the aperture 5. The shape of the auxiliary sole plate body 2b is formed to a two-stage shape and the upper-step part flares to a collar shape and is fitted into the head part. The lower-state part is so formed as to be made flush with the sole plate body 2a.</p> |
