PURPOSE:To always perform the proper adjustment of density according to a specified part in case of copying only the specified part from an original having partial difference of variable density by automatically executing the adjustment of density concerning the specified area prescribed in the original. CONSTITUTION:The image data of the original 3 is read by a CCD image sensor 14 to judge whether or not the specified area in the original 3 of B4 size is prescribed. If the judgement is negative, the data of all the areas of the original 3 of B4 size is extracted and if the judgement is affirmative, the data of the specified area A in the original 3 is extracted. Next, the lighting voltage of an illuminating lamp 5 is controlled by referring to the data for dimming concerning all the areas or the specified area. Based on the lighting voltage controlled thus, the adjustment of density concerning all the areas or the specified area is performed to form an image. Even if only the specified part is copied from the original having partial difference of variable density, the proper adjustment of density can be always performed according to the specified part. |
