Device for fixing an element 9 of the accessory type onto a support element 1, and particularly a private car trim strip, comprising at least two fasteners 2 which are mounted in the said element 9; each fastener 2 being fixed onto a mounting line 4 which is parallel to the axis of the said element 9 whilst the adjoining fasteners 2 are fixed onto a second mounting line which is parallel to the first mounting line, characterised in that each fastener 2 includes a body 6 which is provided with at least one slot made up of an entry and a straight part with flexible edges; the said slot interacting with a removable peg 8 mounted on the support element 1 so as to be able to mount the said element 9 blind on the support element 1 by engaging therein the entry of each slot in the head 10 of the corresponding removable peg 8 and by moving the said element 9 in the axial direction so that the groove 11 of the said removable peg 8 slides in the straight part of the said slot. <IMAGE>
