In the case of horizontal links of this type, the closing piece has holding lugs which project upwards over a sleeve-shaped basic body and into the annular opening. Because of the holding lugs the closing piece is of relatively complicated design. In order to reduce the manufacturing complexity and the production costs of the horizontal link, there is provided as a holding portion an indentation on the edge of the closing piece, the holding portion projecting into a receiving space in the limb of the horizontal link. Since the holding portion does not project into the annular opening in the horizontal link, the closing piece is only provided in the region of the limbs. The closing piece can be designed as a simple ring part and holds the limbs firmly in their mutual bearing position.
