<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly detect an electric signal of a high frequency by a high time resolution by allowing a polarized light beam to be made incident on an electro-optical crystal and varying a polarized state of the light beam by a voltage of an electric signal of a multi-channel. CONSTITUTION:An electric field is generated in each position of an electro- optical crystal 10 by applying an electric signal of a multi-channel to an electric circuit having plural transparent surface electrodes 11-1-11-n provided on the electro-optical crystal 10, by which a refractive index in each position of the electro-optical crystal 10 is varied. Subsequently, in this case, when a light beam which is emitted from light sources 1-1-1-n and polarized by a polarizer 2 is made incident on the electro-optical crystal 10, a polarized state of the light beam is varied based on a variation of a refractive index of the electro- optical crystal 10 corresponding to plural electric signal voltages. By extracting a variation of these polarized states, and allowing them to be made incident in parallel on a photoelectric converter 7, a voltage of each electric signal can be detected.</p> |
