Process for eliminating arsenic compounds from exhaust gases

As a sorbent for eliminating arsenic compounds from exhaust gases, activated charcoal is known which can only be used up to exhaust gas temperatures of 200@C. The novel process is to be applied over a broad temperature range, in particular above 200@C. The arsenic elimination from exhaust gases is carried out with a sorbent based on high-surface-area titanium dioxide, that is even at exhaust gas temperatures of above 200@C.
