The technical sector of the invention is that of anti-bending devices for gun barrels, especially of large calibre. The device according to the invention consists of at least one sleeve (1) fixed to the barrel (2) and delimiting around the latter and over some of its length at least one annular cavity (3). It is characterised in that it comprises a ventilation system intended for dissipating the heat which accumulates in the annular cavity (3) in the vicinity of the upper generatrix of the barrel (2).
