PURPOSE:To obtain the title cosmetic, containing an aqueous sol containing fine particles of hydrous titanium oxide homogeneously and stably dispersed with a clay mineral as a principal ingredient, having excellent anti-sunburn effects, stability with time, skin safety, usability, etc., without causing whitening or pale coloring. CONSTITUTION:An excellent sunscreen cosmetic, containing an aqueous sol containing fine particles of hydrous titanium oxide, having 0.005-0.1mum average particle diameter in an amount of 1-20wt.% based on the total weight of the final composition and blended, homogeneously and stably dispersed with at one of a clay mineral, preferably montmorillonite mineral as a stabilizer in an amount of 0.05-10wt.% based on the total amount of the final composition dissolved in water as a principal ingredient, capable of preventing the skin from blackening by absorbing noxious ultraviolet rays causing sunburn, having excellent stability with time and skin safety, closely adhering to the skin and smoothly finishing the skin (without dustiness) with good extensibility while imparting excellent tough to the skin in coating and using without causing the above-mentioned coloration. |
