Carbonyl compds. (I)[R=carbo- or heterocyclic aryl radical; R1=alkyl; R2, R3=alkyl, cyano, amino; X=O, NH; Alk-alkylene; Y=CHOH, C(O); Ar1=monocyclic aryl, heteroaryl radical and their salts, useful as antihypertensives, are prepd. Thus, a mixt. of 2,6-dimethyl-4-(3- nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid methyl ester 2-chloroethyl ester, 4-(p-fluorobenzoyl) -piperidine.HCl, N-ethyl- N,N-diisopropylamine and xylne is heated at 150≦̸C for 8hr under Ar atmosphere and vacuum-evaporated. The oily product is dissolved in CH3COOC2H5/H2O, dried on Na2SO4 and chromatog. on silica gel with hexane/CH3CO2C2H5.
