PURPOSE:To prevent an error of separation securely even when a narrow separating member is used or when a transferring material is floppy, by providing a slanting feed means for conveying the tranferring material in a guide direction at the side end part of a conveyance path for the transferring material and a transferring material passing detecting means between a guide and a slanting feed roll. CONSTITUTION:The transferring paper P mounted on a manual insertion guide 13 is moved between the 1st upper guide A and lower guide B to pass between the slanting feed roll 23 and a presser roll 24 freely, and when its leading end presses up a paper feed detection lever 29, a detection signal is generated to turn on a copying machine, and a platen starts moving; while the slanting feed roll 23 starts rotating, a plunger 27 is turned on and an actuator 27a leaves the end part of a hole 25a and the presser roll 24 is lowered on the transferring paper P. The transferring paper P receives conveying force slantingly by the slanting feed roll 23 and presser roll 24 and its right end part abuts on a width guide before passing through a separation belt; and its is sent along the width guide on the basis of the relation of the moment of force and caught by the separation belt without fail, so the paper is separated from a drum 2 securely. |
