The invention relates to a folding joint for the outer frames of ground-working appliances, especially of appliances for seedbed preparation. The object of the invention is to provide a positive and non-positive folding joint with an integrated damping device on the premise of a spatial concentration of components. This is achieved, according to the invention, in that the double-acting hydraulic cylinder 4 engages on a cylindrical bolt 8 which is mounted in long holes 5 of the joint plates 6, 7 of the folding joint and which at the same time forms the bearing point of a jointed chain 8, 9, 11, 14. The jointed chain 8, 9, 11, 14 is articulated at its other end on the basic frame 1. The outwardly projecting end of the cylindrical bolt 8 forms at the same time a retaining bolt 17 for the transport position. A functionally reliable automatic folding joint, the components of which are concentrated in a small space, is thus provided. <IMAGE>
