<p>In filter candles, in particular for reversible flow filters, with a cylindrical support element (2), a filter medium (3) in the form of a flexible tube slid over the support element (2), a foot part (5) which has a passage (6) for the filtrate and is attached to the support element and connected in a leakproof manner to one end (4) of the filter medium (3), and a head part (8) attached to the support element (2) and connected in a leakproof manner to the other end (7) of the filter medium (3), it is difficult to attach the foot part and head part quickly and reliably to the support element and to achieve a tight seal between the ends of the flexible filter tube and the foot part and head part respectively. According to the invention, the support element (2) has a male thread (10) at each end, the foot part (5) and head part (8) each have a cylindrical recess the diameter of which is slightly less than the outer diameter of the support element (2), and a female thread (14, 21) is tapped in the wall (13, 20) of the recess the diameter, pitch and cross-section of which are adapted to the male thread (10) of the support element (2) so that the foot part (5) and the head part (8) can be screwed on to the support element (2). The foot part (5) and the head part (8) are provided with coupling rings (17, 24) which extend over the ends of the tubular filter medium (3) with which they form a tight seal.</p> |
