Brake assembly for service vehicles - has setting moment produced by positive connection of spring reservoir

The brake system for a service vehicle has a fixing device (31-35) set radially inside the wheel brake (12-22) in the axial area of the wheel rim between the brake carrier (6) connected to the axle body (3) and the axle body (3) itself. The brake carrier (6) pref. supports the reaction moment of both the wheel brake (12 to 22) and the fixing device. The moving parts of the fixing device which serve to fix the wheel are stored in the lubricated chamber. ADVANTAGE - The brake system acts not on the wheel brakes but directly on the wheel hubs of the wheels which are to be fixed.
