<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deposition of water drops and to control the aging of vegetables and fruits by adsorptively removing ethylene gas used as a ripening hormone for them in good efficiency, by forming a packaging film from a synthetic resin containing an anticlouding agent and a synthetic zeolite. CONSTITUTION:An anticlouding agent and a synthetic zeolite are added to a synthetic resin (e.g., polyethylene or ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer), and the resulting mixture is formed into a packaging film. As said anticlouding agent, a polyalcohol/fatty acid ester (alkylene oxide adduct), a higher alcohol alkylene oxide adduct, polyoxyalkyl phenol ether or the like is suitable. When vegetables, fruits, etc. are packaged with this film, no water drop is deposited on it, and ethylene gas used to promote the ripening of vegetables and fruits is removed by adsorption; therefore the packaged vegetables, fruits, etc. can be prevented from being putrefied by water drops resulting from them and their ripening, promotion of aging by ethylene gas can be prevented. Thus they can be stored for a long time without losing their freshness.</p> |
