The invention relates to a method and a device for acquisition of seismic data. A repeating source S and several receivers Rk are placed in a seismic-wave emission zone and in a reception zone respectively. The receivers Rk are interconnected in a network RE. Prior to emission of each incident seismic pulse Ij, the network RE is configured so as to interconnect each receiver Rk in series, with the possibility of programming the connection polarity of each receiver. The network RE delivers at the output a resultant signal VSj for each incident seismic wave pulse Ij, this resultant signal corresponding to a linear combination of the signals Sjk delivered by each receiver Rk. The operations of emitting and recording the resultant signal are repeated a number m of times greater than the number of receivers Rk, so as to configure the constituted network RE in a different manner. The signature of each signal Sjk delivered by each receiver Rk is obtained by a linear combination of the values of each of the resultant signals VSj.
