PURPOSE:To form a strip having good end part shape in the case of arranging a cooling device at outside of a vessel by fitting plural stirring rods for forming semi-solidified slurry and arranging one pair of endless like shifting mold which can cool the inner part at downstream of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:In the case of forming the strip 6 by making molten metal 4 the semi-solidified slurry 21, cooling in the vessel 3 progresses faster as coming to nearer out side of the vessel 3 by action of the cooling device 8 arranged at the out side of the vessel 3 and the stirring temp. is made to low near the stirring rods 9, 11 and volumetric solid phase ratio of fine crystal grain 20 becomes large. Then, as the circumferential speed of the stirring rods 9, 11 come to faster than that of the stirring rod 10, a large quantity of shearing deformation can be given in the molten metal 4 having low stirring temp. Therefore, even in case the volumetric solid phase ratio of the molten metal 4 is large, number of grains of the fine crystal 20 in the formed semi-solidified slurry 21 is made to decrease and viscosity of the semi-solidified slurry 21 can be reduced.
