PURPOSE:To prevent the local deterioration of a photosensitive body which stops just under an electrifying device by sequentially staggering the stop timings of the photosensitive body and a fan after stopping the actuation of the electrifying device. CONSTITUTION:The respective timings of the actuation of the photosensitive body 8, the electrifying device 1 and the fan 10 are set in such a way that the photosensitive body 8 and the electrifying device 1 are simultaneously turned off from on-states, but the fan 10 for discharging ozone is made still after actuating by a time T1 since the photosensitive body and the electrifier are turned off. Since the fan actuates for the time T1 after the photosensitive body 8 and the electrifying device 1 stop, active gas in the electrifying device is rapidly discharged. Thus, the degree of the deterioration of the surface of the photosensitive body on the position opposite to the electrifying device can be made smaller. |
