PURPOSE:To simplify circuit constitution and to reduce power consumption by composing an exclusive OR circuit of six transistors (TR) and four resistances. CONSTITUTION:Inputs are denoted as A and B and an output is denoted as (f). When the inputs A and B are both at a level L, TRs 54 and 56 are off and TRs 60, 68, 72, and 74 are off. Therefore, the output (f) is at the the level L. Then, when the input A is at a level H and the input B is at the level L, the TR54 turns on and TRs 68 and 72 turn on. An output current flows to a resistance 78 through the TR72 and the output (f) goes up to the level H. In this case, the TR68 enters a saturation region and the TR74 is off. Further, when A is at a level L and B is at a level H, the same operation as above is performed. When A and B are both at a level H, the TRs 54 and 56 both turn on, but the TRs 60 and 68 both get saturated, so the TRs 72 and 74 are cut off to release an output terminal 76, so that the output (f) is at the level L. |
