In the case of conventional single-lever mixers having ceramic mixing inserts, the operating lever is usually parallel to the outlet pipe. This corresponds to a mixing ratio of 1:1 between hot and cold water. The user usually pushes the operating lever vertically upwards even though there is no immediate need for hot water. The conventional mechanical design of the single-lever mixer causes thoughtless energy consumption on the part of the user. When the existing water pressure is used, the mixer tap is automatically set, with a time delay, to the basic "COLD" position after the user has finished drawing water. When water is drawn again, only cold water flows at first, and the user must consciously adjust the mixer to obtain hot water. Depending on use, the saving effect is approximately 5 litres of hot water per day. It is a suitable replacement for all manual single-lever mixer taps.
