PURPOSE:To raise the transmitting ability of a belt, by engaging both sides friction members which form a block, with a pin each other through spherical surfaces, allowing these friction members can move freely, and forming oil feeding holes which pierce from the outside of the friction members to the engaging parts on the spherical surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A chain type belt is assembled by combining links 3, set along the belt longitudinal direction as partially lying one above next one as making plural rows, by pins 4 through friction members 1, 1' on both sides and adjusting bodies 2, 2'. These friction members 1, 1' are formed with recesses 7, 7' on inside surfaces, to be engaged with spherical projections 4a on both sides of the pin 4, freely movably, and fed with oil from plural piercing holes 8, 8' which reach the recesses 7, 7'. Accordingly, when the belt is driven, as V-angle shaped by side faces of both friction members, follows up the movement flexibly in a pulley, the transmitting ability can be raised, and durability can be enhanced.
