PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material which has the high sensitivity and the less fogging by incorporating a specified silver halide particle and a sensitizing dye in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material comprises at least one of the sensitizing dye shown by formula I and the silver halide particle which has a crystal face composed of a tri-octahedron, a tetra-hexahedron, an oblate rhombic icosahedron and a hexa-octahedron, and is constituted by plural phases and is composed of silver bromide or silver iodobromide. In the formula, Z<1> and Z<2> are each an atomic group necessary for forming a thiazole ring or a benzothiazole ring, etc., R<1> and R<2> are each alkyl or alkoxyalkyl group, etc., X<1theta> is an anion, (n) is 1 or 2. Thus, the excellent photographic performances such as the high sensitivity and the low fogging density of the titled material, are obtd. |
