PURPOSE:To detect disconnection beforehand, by a circuit constitution, wherein output signals from a position detector are amplified and contact resistor is included as a resistor for each amplifier circuit. CONSTITUTION:Sine wave signals 2 and 3 are inputted from a position detector 1. The signals are amplified in amplifiers 4 and 5 until full-wave rectification is performed. The signals are converted into DC signals with full-wave rectifier circuits 6 and 7. The synthesized signal of both signals is outputted from an adder circuit 8. The quality of the synthesized signal is judged with a comparator circuit 9. Since the output of the detector 1 is changed by the change in a contact resistor, the state in which the wire is not completely broken can be detected. Thus, the fact that the output signal from the detector 1 is not accurately transmitted due to the disconnection in connectors, to which signal lines are connected, and in signal lines and due to the increase in contact resistance can be detected before disconnection. In this way, reliability and safety can be secured.
