<p>PURPOSE:To delete records stored in a static RAM for ensuring security protection, by providing a security protection element while molding it with resin together with a circuit including the SRAM, the security protection element having a conducting material showing fusing properties similar to those of the resin so that if the molding resin is fused the conducting material is also fused simultaneously therewith to open or short circuit a power supply circuit. CONSTITUTION:A security protection element 10 which is resin molded together with a circuit including a static RAM 18 has electrodes 12, 13 on the opposite ends thereof and a conducting material 14 is provided between these electrodes so as to keep the ON state. If for example the resin case is fused or decomposed with the intention of decoding content of a program stored in the static RAM, the conducting material in the security protection element is also fused simultaneously with the molding resin, whereby a power supply circuit connected to a battery for backing up the static RAM is switched to the opened or short- circuited state. Accordingly, power supply to the static RAM is stopped and the program data stored therein is deleted. In this manner, the security protection is ensured such that no program data can be decoded unduly.</p> |
