PURPOSE:To allow the amount of water supply to be adjusted simply and precisely by causing a flexible plate magnet to contact a metallic water fountain roller with powerful magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:One end of a flexible plate magnet having a width equal to a part of a metallic water fountain roller 2 where the supply of dampening water is stopped or reduced is allowed to contact said part by means of magnetic force, and the other end of the magnet 11 is fixed to a water vessel 1. The flexible plate magnet 1 provide a surface contact with the metallic water fountain roller 2 by means of magnetic force so that dampening water on the part where water supply suspension or reduction is desired, of the metallic water fountain roller 2, can be removed almost completely or thinned extremely. Further, the removed dampening water can be returned to the water vessel 1 almost completely by providing a plurality of vertical grooves 12 on the surface contacting the metallic water fountain roller of the flexible plate magnet 11 and below a position where said magnet contacts the metallic water fountain roller. Thus no dampening water removed by the flexible plate magnet 11 runs away into the metallic water fountain roller 2. |
