This safety ski binding has a baseplate 3 which is to be fastened to the upper side of the ski and bears a vertical pivot pin 4, on which pivot pin 4 a footplate 8 is pivotably mounted, which bears, at its rear end, a heel-holder 2 with a sole-holder 6 acted on by a catch spring 25 and, at its front end, a toepiece. The footplate 8 is pressed in the direction of its central position by the catch spring 25. In order, in such a ski binding, to guarantee an additional release of the ski boot by a relative movement of the heel-holder 2 in relation to the footplate 8 in the case of pure horizontal loading as well, the heel- holder 2 has, as is known per se, a bearing block 16 which is pivotable with its base 16a about a vertical spindle 61, the vertical spindle 61 for the bearing block 16 is fastened to the footplate 8, and the bearing block 16 is assigned an additional roller 19 which is pressed against a control cam 3a arranged on the baseplate 3 by an additional spring 21. <IMAGE> |
