PURPOSE:To improve sinterability and critical current density of an oxide superconductor by adding a specified proportion of Ag to an oxide having perovskite type structure defined in broad sense, such as a Ba-La-Cu-O type layered perovskite, etc. CONSTITUTION:The oxide superconductor of this invention is an oxide superconductor obtd. by adding 1-10wt.% Ag to an oxide having perovskite type structure. Said oxide contains an Ln element, AE element, and Cu. Said Ln element is selected from Y, La, Sc, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu. Said AE element is selected from Ba, Ca, and Sr. |
