PURPOSE:To allow a display part of a sharply outlined partly metallic vapor-deposited layer to appear, by providing a vapor-deposited metallic layer to the whole surface of a base material on the side to which a removal layer and a coating layer are provided and then by dissolving and removing the vapor-deposited metallic layer part on the removal layer so as to allow a partly metallic vapor-deposited layer to remain. CONSTITUTION:A peeling layer 8 is provided to a heat-resisting film base material 2, and a pattern layer 3 is formed by printing on the above, and then, a removal layer 4 containing a dissolvent material (HCl, NaOH, surfactant) for dissolving a vapor-deposited metallic layer 9 is formed, by printing, onto the parts other than the parts on which a partly metallic vapor-deposited layer 6 is to be formed. Subsequently, a coating layer 5 is formed to about 0.2-5mu thickness onto the required parts for the partly metallic vapor-deposited layer 6, and then, a vapor-deposited metallic layer 9 is provided to about 100-800Angstrom thickness on the removal layer 4 and the coating layer 5. The above material 2 is allowed to stand for the prescribed length of time, and vapor-deposited metallic parts 9a on the removal layer 4 are dissolved and removed, and a partly metallic vapor-deposited layer 6 is formed of a vapor-deposited metallic layer 9b remaining on the coating layer 5. At this time, the dissolution products can be washed with water because water-soluble ink is not used in the partly metallic vapor-deposited layer 6, and, after the partly metallic vapor-deposited layer 6 is formed, an adhesive layer 7 is formed by application so as to form a transfer foil 1.
