PURPOSE:To enable the maintenance of excellent detection sensitivity, by using a peroxide phenyl compound expressed by a specific formula as an organic hydroperoxide. CONSTITUTION:A peroxide phenyl compound expressed by the formula (X in the formula denotes a monovalent hydrocarbon group containing a nitrogen atom. in the chain) is used as an organic hydroperoxide. This peroxide phenyl compound is used as a peroxide in measurement of a peroxide-activated substance. It is used favorably, in particular, for detection of occult blood in urine, vomit and the like and can maintain excellent detection sensitivity.
