PURPOSE:To simplify a Hangul character/code table, and to facilitate an input of a Hangul character by assigning a numeral code of two digits to a consonant, a vowel and a patchim (the last consonant, such as n, m, ng) for constituting the Hangul character, so that one Hangul character can be inputted by inputting the codes in order of the consonant, the vowel and the patchim. CONSTITUTION:A Hangul key is inputted and a start of a Hangul character input is declared. Subsequently, in order of a consonant, a vowel and a patchim, its codes are inputted, and in the end, the Hangul key is depressed again. When a Hangul key input is executed, a CPU 10 recognizes a fact that it is a Hangul character input, and subsequently, recognizes a fact that the inputted numerical codes of two digits each are the codes of the consonant, the vowel and the patchim, respectively, and stores them in a prescribed area of a RAM 12. These inputted numeral codes are converted to internal codes, and used for such processings as a display, printing, a change of a data in the RAM 12, etc. That is, since the sum total of the codes of the consonant, the vowel and the patchim is only 51 kinds, the input operation can be executed easily.
