PURPOSE:To execute operations from the start of cooling till completion in a short period of time within a short distance by concentrically juxtaposing plural pieces of annular nozzles for ejecting cooling liquid directed around the peripheral face of a wire or bar in such a manner that the inside diameters of the nozzles increase successively along the progressing direction of the wire or bar. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the annular nozzles 31-34 inclined in the progressing direction of the wire or bar 1 at the same angle of <=90 deg. are continuously juxtaposed around the entire circumference of the wire or bar 1 in the progressing direction of the wire or bar 1. The inside diameters d1-d4 of the nozzles 31-34 are successively increased along the progressing direction of the wire or bar 1. The cooling liquid ejected from the respective nozzles is injected to the respective outside surfaces at different points of the wire or bar 1 along the angles of inclination and flows along the progressing direction of the wire or bar 1. The flow of the cooling liquid over the entire part is thereby maintained smooth. |
