PURPOSE:To facilitate formation by chemically sensitizing a silver halide emulsion in the presence of a hydroxytetrazaindene compd., adding a sensitizing dye to the emulsion after the lapse of >=5min after the end of the sensitization and using the resulting silver halide particles. CONSTITUTION:A sliver halide emulsion is chemically sensitized in the presence of a hydroxytetrazaindene compd. as a nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic compd., a sensitizing dye is added to the emulsion after the lapse of >=5min after the end of the sensitization and the resulting silver halide particles are used. The silver halide emulsion contg. no sensitizing dye is prepd. and stored and the sentitizing dye can be added to the emulsion when the emulsion is used to form a photosensitive material, so the formation is facilitated. |
