PURPOSE:To effectively prevent occurrence of yarn breakage in staring without incurring an increase of cost, by starting a spinning machine driven by an induction motor having an inverter using a commercial three-phase power source and changing over the power source to the inverter power source. CONSTITUTION:In a spinning machine, such as ring spinning machine or ring twister, having a three-phase induction motor and an inverter, a commercial three-phase power source is used in starting. After the rotational speed of the induction motor and spinning machine attain specific values or after a given time elapses, driving of the induction motor is changed over from the commercial three-phase power source to the inverter power source. |
