摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode which is stably usable in liquid, allows easy measurement and is simplified in constitution by providing a detecting part which is connected with a lead wire for obtaining electrical conduction and is formed by using a hydrogen occlusion alloy or hydrogen occlusion alloy-contg. body. CONSTITUTION:The electrode provided with the detecting part 1 which is connected with the lead wire 2 for obtaining electrical conduction and is formed by using the hydrogen occlusion alloy or hydrogen occlusion alloy-contg. body is used as a reference electrode, a electrode for measuring chlorine ion and electrode for measuring hydrogen in an electrochemical analysis, etc. For example, the detecting part 1 is the hydrogen occlusion alloy electrode in the case of using the electrode as a reference electrode. Such detecting part is formed by activating LaNi4.7Al0.3, the molding the same to a sheet shape with 'Teflon(R)' as a binder and adhering a nickel wire as a current collector to the rear face. The lead wire 2 is connected to the nickel net of the detecting part 1. The lead wire 2 is covered with an insulator 3. The reference electrode is stabilized by applying a hydrogen pressure around the same or occluding a prescribed amt. of hydrogen in the alloy electrode by an electrolysis. The potential of the reference electrode does not fluctuate with about the current which flows at the time of an ordinary electrochemical analysis.
