PURPOSE:To simplify the input operation and to facilitate the file editing work by providing a buffer, in which the code string of the preceding input command line is stored, to use the preceding processing reproducing and restoring function even in case of the Japanese language processing. CONSTITUTION:In case of Japanese-language input, the input from a keyboard 1 is converted to the ASCII code by a code converting part 2 and is transferred to a Japanese language processing part 3. The processing part 3 performs the conversion processing for Japanese on demand and stores results in code buffers 7 and 8. When a return code or a code which distinguishes a command line is discriminated thereafter, contents of buffers are transferred to a code buffer 6. When a control code for preceding input reproducing restoration is inputted from the keyboard 1 during the Japanese language processing, the processing part 3 transfers the preceding input code held in the buffer 8 to the buffer 7 and transfers it to the buffer 6. Thus, the command line of the preceding input is reproduced and restored through a general OS 4, and the input operation is simplified and a file is easily edited.
