The extrusion device consists of a block, into which there is pierced a network of holes for admission of the ceramic paste, these latter opening into a network of slots which intersect and form the alveolar structure when the paste is extruded through the block, characterised in that the majority of the admission holes 10 are arranged perpendicularly to the slots 11, outside the intersections 13 of the slots 11, and in that the distribution of these holes is such that the widths of the ribbons of paste extruded from each of them are essentially the same. Application in the production of extrusion blocks which make it possible to manufacture alveolar profiles of different pitch and shape. |
