PURPOSE:To detect the fault state accurately by detecting the inside/outside of a service area based on information not relating to the automobile telephone set so as to distinguish the communication disable due to outside of the area from the communication disable due to a fault. CONSTITUTION:The calling state of an automobile telephone set 100 is monitored by a communication disable detection means 101 and in detecting the communication disable state, it is informed to a fault deciding means 102. On the other hand, the means 101 energized an in-area detection means 103 to allow it to discriminate whether the automobile 104 is within the service area or the outside of the service area at present. Then the fault deciding section 102 is informed of being within the service area by the in-area detection means 103, the section 102 decides it as a fault and informs it. Since the in-area detection means 103 detects within or outside of the service area based on the information not relating to the automobile telephone set at least, even when the automobile telephone set is faulty, the outside or inside of the service area is detected. Thus, the communication disable as being outside the service area and the communication disable due to a fault are distinguished. |
