PURPOSE:To enhance the light resistance of a microcapsule layer and a color forming body, by incorporating a specific metal salt of carboxylic acid in microcapsules containing a substantially colorless color former. CONSTITUTION:In microcapsules containing a substantially colorless color for mer, a metal salt of carboxylic acid (a metal atom represents Al, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, So, Ni, Cu, Zn, Sr, MO, Ru, Rh, or Pd) is contained. In this manner, a recording material with a microcapsule layer and a color forming body, which are remarkably improved in light resistance, can be obtained. The carboxylic acid may be either fatty or aromatic and also may be a polybasic acid or having substituents. The color former used in the recording material is not specifically limited, but concretely a triarylmethane compound, a diphenylmetha ne compound, a fluorene compound, and others can be used single or in mixed form. |
